Head Start Program
Skyline CAP's Head Start Program aims to provide low-income children with comprehensive preschool services that promote school readiness, social, emotional, and physical health, along with a strong parent involvement component in the educational experience of their children. The Skyline CAP Head Start program currently has a funded enrollment of 181 children, and operates in 6 counties (Greene Madison, Rappahannock, Warren, Shenandoah and Page Counties). Children served are three and four years old, and 90 percent of the families must have incomes at or below 100 percent of federal poverty level.
Head Start Program Requirements
Eligible participants must meet the following requirements:
- Children between 3 and 5 years old
- 90 percent of the families must have incomes at or below 100 percent of federal poverty level
- Live within Skyline CAP's Head Start Service Area (see below)
- Contact Skyline CAP for any additional requirements
